A great result yesterday for Lizzie Armistead – Silver in the Women’s Olympic Road Race

So Alexandre Vinokourov won the Men’s Road Race at London 2012. He managed to slip away with Team Sky rider Uran, with only a few kilometres to go. Keeping the chasing riders at bay, Vino sprinted to the victory on The Mall.

So at long last, after over 100 years of waiting, the UK has a winner of the greatest cycling race in the world – The Tour de France.

Bradley Wiggins, having enjoyed great support from his team – Team Sky – was the fastest rider to complet...e the course, which included mountain stages in the Alps and the Pyrenees and 2 long time-trials.

Team Sky use Pinarello for their bikes and the team were riding the Dogma 2 Di2 version during the Tour. Shimano carbon wheels, electronic groupsets and finishing kits complete their package.
